Cant seem to get a Dipole working. Discovered that I was several inches too short for 40 Meters when I "Halved the 80 Meter Dipole"..., So Instead of splicing wire, I decided fuckitt.
I'll just do it for 20 Meters for now, and turn it into a Fan Dipole later...

Now, On 20 meters The SWR is high on the low end, and worse on the upper portion of the band if I am reading the scale correctly (Practically off the scale the whole band ,5:1 +..)
been raining, so I'm done. Guess I get to start shortening it an inch at a time....

After a bit of trimming, I've got the match down to 1.25:1 on the low end, 1.7:1 @ about 14.150Mhz, 2.4:1@14.350Mhz.*Without the internal tuner)
I've been trimming about 3 inches each end at a time (Sliding the ends through the fastener) between shower bursts. So far by using the "Standard formula", the antenna has been at least a foot too long...
anybody wanna try 20M??....

Well shit. I decided to trim off the excess wire without any other changes, and now I got about a 1.15:1 match on the High end, and about a 1.75:1 on the low end. just by cutting off the excess I would have thought would have been shorted out by the double wire clamp that it was being passed through....

at least it's still usable even without a tuner.....
