Arrow Dual band J-Pole

#1

Post by KD8DEY »

Grabbed one thinking that it would be about the only thing I can get away with.
It Sucks....
SWR was a little over 2:1 on the ends. I have it up far enough to be above the roof line. and a couple feet away from the trailer.

Now that it has been raining, the SWR is a little over 3:1. Not using the radio for fear of blowing it up..
There is only 1 mast clamp, and I just cant seem yo get it tight enough to keep the antenna perfectly straight up on the mast. Maybe if I had placed the mast downward, instead of having the small end of the joint sticking upward??!!...

Only made a couple contacts on FT-8, and I am starting to think it was a fluke.
Past couple of weeks, I have not been showing up on PSk Reporter....
Is it just me, or does "Googling Yourself" just not sound right?..

I don't have any experience with the Arrow antenna but it sounds like a feed line issue. Like water ingress or something.
